Currently the law in England means renters can be evicted without reason and given just eight weeks to pack up and move out.

These unfair evictions need to end, which is why Generation Rent welcomed the Government's pledge to end Section 21 'no fault' evictions in 2019.

In 2022 the Government published the White Paper for the Renters Reform Bill, with the final legislation expected sometime in 2023.
