Join us for an expert Q and A on your rights as a renter during the pandemic. Thursday 20 August, 5.30pm to 6.30pm. RSVP below.
If you’re worried about eviction or rent debt due to covid-19, you’re not alone. Private renters have been hard hit by coronavirus. Despite Government support schemes, arrears have tripled, and many have been forced to rely on their landlords’ goodwill.
The eviction ban is coming to an end on 23 August, and the Government has introduced new rules that courts must follow. It’s never been more important to know your rights – but renters have been left in the dark about what these rules mean.
We're hosting a Q and A with housing and legal experts to help you get your head around the latest changes to the law. We'll discuss your rights, and answer your questions on renting during the pandemic.
Our guests
- Vicky Spratt, I News / Refinery29
- Derek Bernardi, Camden Community Law Centre
- Giles Peaker, Nearly Legal Blog and Anthony Gold Solicitors
