I want to move home - is that possible yet?
Answer
One of the earliest restrictions to be lifted was on the property market, and the government has said that house moves can continue to go ahead under the second lockdown. The government has advised that "people who wish to move home can do so", and has published guidance for making viewings and removals safe.
The government has asked parties involved in house moves to "be prepared to delay moves, for example if someone becomes ill with coronavirus during the moving process or has to self-isolate."
Viewings should involve only people from your household who "absolutely have to be there". Prospective tenants should, where possible, "avoid touching surfaces, wash your hands regularly, and bring your own hand sanitiser."
